On Friday, 7 March, between 18:30 and 19:30, art historian Ruxandra Demetrescu gave a talk as part of the exhibition Imago Mundi. Of Margins and Other Heroes. She explored the artistic practice of Nicu Ilfoveanu, situating his work within the context of contemporary photography while addressing broader questions about image production and reception in the evolving visual landscape of today.
The talk was held in German at [Ceci n’est pas une] Gallery, Reinhardtstr. 14, 10117 Berlin.
Ruxandra Demetrescu, a professor at the National University of Arts Bucharest, has been a key figure in Romanian art history and curatorial practice. She also served as the first Director of RKI Berlin.
